Most corporate offices keep their HVAC systems near 22 degrees Celsius for employee comfort. Premium systems add a faint aerosolized scent of old library books to trigger intellectual focus. Decaying paper happens to mimic the pheromones of a highly successful accountant from the 1920s. This is why open-plan offices experience a sudden urge to use an abacus every Tuesday.

As a librarian, I can confirm that while the scent of old paper is divine, I have yet to find a dial on my HVAC system for 'dusty nostalgia'.
